A new haven for learning and wellbeing
Cradle Hill Community Primary School in Seaford recently celebrated the addition of a new wooden gazebo and a carefully curated outdoor quiet area, funded by our grant. The new space is designed for school clubs, (including a dedicated area for yoga) and SEN support and nicknamed 'Atlantis' by the children. The team couldn't wait to visit the school to see for themselves the positive impact that the new area has had on pupils and teachers alike!
The project holds special significance for Chris and Elaine Goodman, founders of the Focus Foundation, both of whom grew up in Seaford. Their deep connection to the town inspired their support for the local school and the community.

Enhancing the school environment
The team were updated as to how the new gazebo and quiet area provide versatile, weather-proof spaces that foster teamwork, mindfulness, and specialised support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Community impact
This initiative not only benefits Cradle Hill Primary School but also strengthens the community by enhancing the school's appeal and fostering positive relationships. The project also compliments their thriving forest school which hosts two areas at the side of the school field.
