Focus Foundation’s South Golf Day 2026: A Friday to Remember Raises Over £20,000

The 2026 Focus Group South Golf Day in aid of Focus Foundation brought golfers, sponsors and volunteers together at gorgeous Mannings Heath for an unforgettable Friday of great golf, friendly competition and extraordinary generosity.
From the first coffee and breakfast roll to the final prize of the afternoon, the atmosphere was brilliant. Teams threw themselves into every part of the day – taking on stunningly beautiful (but equally challenging!) Waterfall Course, joining the fundraising games, bidding in the silent auction and helping us raise a fantastic total for small charities doing vital work.
Turning a Great Day into Lasting Change
More than £20,000 was raised through the generosity of everyone who played, sponsored, bid and donated, and because Focus Group covers our running costs, every penny raised will go directly to grassroots charities working within the communities surrounding Focus Group offices.
For the small organisations we support, funding like this can protect vital services, create new opportunities and help ensure life-changing support remains available. That means the impact of the Golf Day will continue long after the final ball was played.
Shining a Light on Kangaroos
At the heart of this year’s Golf Day was Kangaroos, a wonderful Mid Sussex charity supporting children and adults with learning disabilities and additional needs.
Since 1994, Kangaroos has provided year-round clubs, activities and trips where its members can have fun, build meaningful friendships, develop confidence and experience greater independence.
These opportunities give members the freedom to try new things in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment. Whether enjoying a day trip, taking part in a club or sharing an experience with friends, every activity creates a sense of connection and belonging.
The charity’s work also provides invaluable support and respite for families, offering reassurance that their loved ones are safe, understood and encouraged to thrive.
We were delighted to welcome Jenni and Katy from Kangaroos to speak on the day, where they shared more about the charity’s work and the difference its services make across Mid Sussex.
Thanks to the generosity shown during the afternoon, an additional £2,000 of funding was unlocked for Kangaroos – helping the charity continue creating friendships, opportunities and unforgettable experiences for its members.

A day like this is only possible because of the incredible community behind it.
Our wonderful volunteers gave their time, energy and enthusiasm to welcome golfers, run fundraising games and keep everything moving behind the scenes. Their commitment brought the day to life and helped create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
