Since 1997, Off The Fence has existed to resist poverty, empower people and restore hope in Brighton and Hove and beyond. This founding mission is carried forward today by our three flagship programmes:
– Antifreeze: Supporting people experiencing homelessness, offering practical care, emergency support, and a pathway toward permanent housing.
– Gateway: Walking alongside women at risk, providing goal-based workshops, 1-to-1 sessions, and emotional well-being support to empower them to build a future free from vulnerability.
– Schools and Youth: Partnering with local schools to support students facing challenges, offering mental health resources, and life skills programmes to help young people navigate life with resilience.
Together, we support over 1,000 individuals in need annually, reaching out in compassion to see an end to social and spiritual poverty in the city.
